Overview
A quick look at what's in the system. New here? Load sample data to see how report cards come together, then clear it and start on your own class.
Getting started
The order that works best: 1) Classes → 2) Subjects (per class) → 3) an Exam → 4) Students → 5) Marks Entry → 6) Report Cards.
Backup & restore
Save your data to a file you keep yourself, and load it back in on any computer. Do this before closing the tab if the warning above is showing.
Classes
Set up each class and stream, e.g. "Grade 4" section "Blue".

Subjects
Subjects belong to a class, so different grades can have different maximum and pass marks.
Add a subject
Default subjects for every class
Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Integrated Science, CRE, Social Studies and Life Skills, Creative Arts and Sports, Pre-Technical Studies, Agriculture and Nutrition. New classes get these automatically — use this button to add any that are missing from classes that already existed.
Copy subjects to other classes
Already entered all the subjects for one grade? Copy the whole set to other classes instead of typing them again. Existing subjects with the same name are left untouched.

Exams / Terms
Each round of marks entry and report cards is tied to an exam sitting. Add a new one for every term — nothing already saved is ever touched.
Your records are safe across years and terms
Adding a new exam never deletes or overwrites previous ones. Every exam's marks are stored separately by student, subject, and exam — so 2026 Term 1, 2 and 3 stay exactly as entered when you add 2027 Term 1, and so on. Data is only ever removed if you press Delete on that specific exam below.
Start a new term / exam
Tip: use the same academic year for all three terms (e.g. 2026 Term 1, 2026 Term 2, 2026 Term 3), then move to 2027 when the new year starts.

Marks Entry
Pick an exam, class and subject, then enter every learner's score down a single clean list — no side-scrolling.
Score sheet
Enter CAT and Exam scores for the selected subject. Marks save automatically as you type — totals, positions, report cards and ranked results all update from what's saved here.
Choose an exam, class and subject above to load the score sheet.
Correction Policy
Only marks from 1 to 100 can be entered in each learning area, for both CAT and Exam scores. Anything outside that range is rejected. Edits are applied exactly as typed — nothing is changed automatically — and every change to an already-saved score is recorded below for accountability.
Correction Log — for the exam & subject selected above
Choose an exam, class and subject above.
Verify Marks
A clean, per-class checklist of everything that has been entered into the system — admission number, learner name, every subject's score and the total marks — so a head teacher or data clerk can confirm what was typed matches the original mark sheets before results go out.
Entered scores, per subject
Shows each subject's score only (not the CAT/Exam split) next to every learner's admission number and name, and always includes the Total Marks column — nothing is left out. Any subject with no score yet is flagged as "Missing" so gaps are easy to spot.
Choose an exam and class above.
Report Cards
Generate and print report cards for a whole class at once, or a single student.
Students
Choose an exam and class above.
Ranked Results
Automatically rank learners from the entered scores. Results are calculated from subject totals and can be printed for the selected class and exam.
Automatic Class Ranking
Choose an exam and class above.
Overall Grade Ranking
Rank learners across parallel streams of the same grade. For example, Grade 8 Kenya and Grade 8 Elgon are combined into one overall Grade 8 ranking while each learner keeps a separate class position.
Example groups: Grade 7 Kenya + Grade 7 Elgon, Grade 8 Kenya + Grade 8 Elgon, Grade 9 Kenya + Grade 9 Elgon. The system automatically includes every class belonging to the selected grade.
Combined Overall Ranking
Choose an exam and grade group above.
Gender Performance Report
Compare how boys and girls are performing for a chosen exam, across the whole school, a grade group, or a single class.
Performance by Gender
Choose an exam and scope above.
Student Search
Start typing a learner's name, admission number, or class to find their details instantly.
Results
Type above to search across all students.
Performance Trend
Track how one learner's average percentage has moved across every exam on record, term after term and year after year.
Trend
Choose a student above to see their performance trend.
Score Sheets
Print a blank sheet listing every learner with a column for each learning area (subject) and a Total column, for teachers or invigilators to fill in scores by hand before they're typed into Marks Entry. Choose one class, or "All Classes" to print one sheet per class in a single go.
What will be printed

Users & Access
Create accounts for teachers and other administrators. Teachers can only enter and verify marks. Administrators control everything.
Add a user
A teacher does not need a real email inbox: any unique address such as j.otieno@peruwa.school works as the username. Give them the password in person and ask them to change it with the "Password" button after signing in.
